Trampoline classes start in Lancaster
06/07/2010 Budding trampoline athletes in Lancaster are being given the opportunity to improve their skills with new classes.
An eight-week course starts today (July 6th) at the Salt Ayre Sports Centre in Doris Henderson Way and there are three sessions organised to cater for people of different ages and abilities, the Lancashire Evening Post reports.
Children who are looking for their first taste of trampoline exercise will be able to take part in the beginners class which starts at 16:00 BST.
The class for youngsters in the intermediate to advanced category will be held at 17:00 BST.
Highlighting the fact that trampoline exercise is suitable for people of all ages and abilities, the adult session will be held at 18:00 BST. All classes will last for 55 minutes.
The numerous health benefits of trampoline exercise were revealed by Tony Gallagher, a fitness life coach for the Daily Telegraph, recently.
Writing for the newspaper, Mr Gallagher said that jumping on a trampoline helps fight fatigue, and increases balance, coordination and cardiovascular fitness.
