Trampoline club get lotto windfall
27/07/2009 A trampoline club in Redditch celebrated a lottery win on Saturday.
But Redditch Trampoline Club were bouncing not in celebration of a winning ticket, but because of funding to secure the future of the club, according to the Redditch Advertiser.
On Saturday, the club celebrated by opening its doors to all-comers at the Abbey Stadium.
Members of the club applied for funding in February and were advised in May they had been awarded £9,000 of Awards for All Lottery funding.
The money was used to purchase new equipment to improve both performance and safety, including two new trampolines, padded mounting steps and throw-in mats.
Some of the grant will also be used to finance ongoing coaching courses.
The free taster day gave people the chance to try the sport for the first time as well as viewing the facilities on offer.
Earlier this month, the club opened its doors to fitness enthusiasts and those just looking to have a good time for a trampolining taster day on July 18th.
