Trampoline Club stages DMT open day
24/07/2009 A Wiltshire Trampoline Club has staged an open day in a bid to drum up interest in the sporting activity.
Members of Swindon-based Aquila participated in double-mini trampoline (DMT) competitions and demonstrations at the town's academy building, reports the Swindon Advertiser.
All club members trained together during a morning DMT session, before a synchronised competition took place later in the day.
Aquila trampoline enthusiasts were gaining additional experience in the DMT discipline, in which members will compete for the first time at a regional competition in Canford later this year.
Nikita Robinson and Ella Bull emerged triumphant in the open day event and later treated the crowd to a dual demo.
Last weekend, Matthew Swaffer was named the men's national DMT champion at the British Trampoline and DMT Championships 2009, with Birkenhead's Hanna Moses emerging victorious in the women's event.
