06/10/2009 A group of trampoline enthusiasts from down under have bounced their way into the record books with an entry for 'largest number of simultaneous trampoline jumpers'.
Around 300 volunteers took part in the Guinness World Record attempt, which was organised by Pure Health Clubs in Brisbane to raise cash for charity, reports the Brisbane Times.
During the challenge, participants were require to bounce simultaneously on their mini-trampolines for a minimum of five minutes.
The previous record was for 250 people and Pure Health Club founder and director Marina Perry-Kuhn told the newspaper she was "stoked" to beat it and also to raise cash for the Asthma Foundation of Queensland.
"We thought exercise is great for asthma and we're one of the only places in Australia that does Pure Bounce, so we put the two together and broke a world record," she said.
Trampolining is widely considered a great way to get healthy, with many fitness experts stating that it offers a great cardiovascular workout and also improves concentration.
