Trampoline exercise 'boosts metabolism'
19/05/2010 Jumping on a mini trampoline is a great way to boost your metabolism and aid weight loss, it has been suggested.
The Lose Body Weight blog explained that bouncing on a mini trampoline exercises the whole body, making it an extremely effective workout.
Using the mini trampoline for a couple of minutes at a time as a "metabolism booster" was said to be the best way to get the most out of the exercise.
The blog added that cardiovascular workouts, which get the heart pumping, were also very important for building up fitness levels and these should be undertaken for longer periods of time.
People taking part in cardiovascular exercises could also consider trying out interval training, the blog suggested.
A study released earlier this year by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology suggested that interval training, which involves doing high intensity exercises for short periods of time, could be twice as effective as regular exercise.
Steve Halsall, Mirror.co.uk fitness expert and fitness entrepreneur, said that combined with a healthy diet interval training is a good way of boosting metabolism.
