Trampoline exercise 'great during warmer weather'
27/05/2010 Jumping on a mini trampoline is a great way to keep fit while making the most of the summer weather, according to one blog.
The Home Gym Accessories blog explained that while exercise is important this doesn't mean that it has to be boring.
It suggested that jumping on a trampoline in the garden or going for a hike were great ways of enjoying the outdoors and keeping fit.
"Find something you love doing, and [do] lots of it! There are many ways to enjoy your training; research and try new things," it added.
Laughter was also said to be an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle.
Exercising outdoors also has important benefits when it comes to preventing dementia in later life.
Dr Susanne Sorensen, head of research at the Alzheimer's society, said that exercise reduces peoples' chances of developing the condition as it improves blood circulation to the brain.
She added that there was no evidence to suggest that brain exercises, such as those done on certain computer games, "reduce dementia risk".
