Trampoline exercise 'ideal for toning up for summer'
11/05/2010 Trampoline exercise is an ideal way of toning up in preparation for a hot summer, according to one blog.
Shopoo said that jumping on a garden trampoline for just a few minutes each day can help contribute to weight loss.
"Using the trampoline on a daily basis is a great way to reduce your fat and also to tone your body," the blog said.
It explained that while mini trampolines might be good for exercise, larger 12ft or 14ft garden trampolines are also great for children, which could make them a better investment.
Trampolines were also said to be the ideal feature for a children's party.
Parents have been advised to encourage their children to take part in outdoor play activities, as spending too much time in front of the TV can have an adverse affect on academic performance.
The New York Times recently reported the results of a study published in The Archives of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, which suggested toddlers who spend many hours in front of the box have lower grades and poorer health by their fourth year of school.
