Trampoline exercise 'is a fun way to keep fit'
08/02/2010 Jumping on a mini trampoline has been named as one of five fun ways to lose weight by a diet website.
Weightlosstipssite.com said that even if you're not looking to develop a structured exercise routine, jumping on a trampoline is a great way to get fit and have fun.
"Whether you want to just get on and hop around, or do actual exercises including things like side lunges and in-air moves, jumping on a trampoline is one of the best ways to get your heart pumping, tone your muscles, and improve your balance," the blog explained.
Adults are increasingly tuning in to the idea that trampoline exercise is an efficient way to work out.
Commenting on the Loughton Flyers trampoline club offering lessons to adults for the first time, councillor Brian Rolfe told This is Local London: "Studies show that trampolining is 68 per cent more effective than running and out-performs swimming as an all round exercise, yet requires a lot less effort."
