Trampoline exercise 'not just an outdoor activity'
26/01/2010 Trampolines don't have to just be an outdoor play activity during the summer months, according to the writer of one blog.
Writing for Suit101.com, Wendy McDougal, said that outdoor play activities are an "integral part of a kid's day" but often the weather prevents children from heading outside during the winter.
Ms McDougal believes that there are many outdoor activities which can be brought inside the house to ensure kids stay happy and healthy when the weather is bad. She recommends putting the trampoline in a safe place with a soft surface in case of falls.
"There may be no better workout for a child than a kids' trampoline. Bouncing up and down continuously is superb exercise and is a creative way to wear them out," she explained.
Parents who have purchased a large 10ft garden trampoline probably won't have the room to move it indoors and should consider investing in a mini trampoline. At less than 50 inches in diameter and with removable legs they can be stored easily and are much cheaper than larger models.
