Trampoline fans on their way to national competition
04/02/2010 Two high-flying trampoline fans are on their way to a national event after a strong performance at the Central England and Wales Zonal Schools Competition.
Members of the Stourport Trampoline Club represented their schools at the event with two placing within the top three, reports the Kidderminster Shuttle.
Laura Saich, 13, represented Hagley RC and competed well in the team section, qualifying for the National Schools Championships along with the rest of her team, while Taymar Pearce-Mason, who represented the Chantry High School, placed first in her age group, also earning herself a place at the national event.
Other participants who narrowly missed out on medals were Rebecca Watson who finished sixth in her age group, despite gaining top marks for her first routine, and Jack Dover of Worcester Royal Grammar School who finished fourth.
Last week, it was reported by Keighley News that three young girls are set to take part in a trampoline fundraiser this weekend.
They will raise cash for relief efforts in Haiti by bouncing for two hours straight.
