Trampoline prodigy champing at the bit for Olympics
28/09/2009 A six-year-old gymnast is setting his sights on the Olympics after wowing his local club and professionals alike.
Samuel Ramos has been training with his dad Marcelo at the Wakefield Gymnastics Club where he is really making waves, reports the Sun.
The supremely talented youngster from Sheffield is able to perform multiple twists and rotations usually only carried out by elite gymnasts.
Samuel was shown the ropes and the trampoline by his older brother, Jordan, 14 - a four times British tumbling champion.
Samuel's mum Anita told the news provider: "He's a pretty phenomenal talent, he was inspired by his brother who's already a champ."
Although Samuel is too young to enter the London 2012 Olympics, his mum said that he believes he is going to be there.
She added: "He'll definitely be involved in the next games though, and to be honest he's probably good enough to enter now."
In Canada, another trampoline star Tamara O'Brien told the Vancouver Sun that she is putting in 25 hours practice a week ahead of the forthcoming World Championships in St Petersburg, Russia in November.
