Trampoline record hopeful moves to Litherland
14/04/2011 Property owners with a hard wood garden furniture set have been told to make sure they keep their goods secure by locking their shed.
Barclays has produced a checklist to show how valuable tools and other items locked in the shed can be, with mowers, power tools, bikes and barbecues all adding up.
It stated that while the chances of having a garden table and chairs stolen is low, the value of these pieces is averaged out to be £350.
Shane Leivers, Barclays head of home, motor and travel insurance, said: "As householders are placing more emphasis on their gardens many of them don't realise that replacing the contents of their garden shed can cost as much as replacing electrical items in home, such as computers, iPhone and televisions."
Recently, moneysupermarket.com said that people should think about taking out insurance to cover garden items, like furniture, barbeques and lawnmowers.
