Trampoline saves lives
17/08/2009 A family who had to escape from their burning home had their lives saved, thanks to their quick thinking neighbours and a trampoline.
The fire broke out at an address in Boswell Close in Doncaster in the early hours of Sunday morning.
All eight of the people in the house at the time escaped with minor injuries after neighbours ran over to the home with a trampoline and a mattress.
The four adults, three children and a small baby, managed to jump out of the window, onto the trampoline and to safety.
Police are investigating the fire, after it was dealt with quickly by firefighters, who said the occupants were alerted by a smoke alarm the fire service had installed in the property.
Detectives, who are conducting extensive inquiries, said they believed the fire may have been started deliberately.
They are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have information to contact them.
So as well as having many of health benefits, like helping arthritis, as statenotory.info, reported last week, the trampoline now officially saves lives.
