Trampoline star named national champion
23/04/2010 Trampoline enthusiast Charlotte Broadhead was recently awarded a gold medal at the National British Colleges Trampolining Championships at Loughborough University over the weekend.
The 17-year-old is the Bideford Bouncers' first national champion after taking the top prize in the women's novice regional team event, reports the North Devon Gazette.
Charlotte bounced her way to a personal best and club record score of 50.35.
The novice team ranked fourth overall, however, with both novice regional and college team individual scores combined, the south-west came second.
Earlier this month, Charlotte scooped the Young Volunteer of the Year award at the Active Devon annual sports awards, which aim to honour success and commitment to sports in Devon.
The news provider stated that she won the accolade for her voluntary coaching work with Bideford Bouncers Trampoline Club and Titans Netball Club.
She was also named Regional Ambassador for the British College of Sports in 2009.
