Trampoline stars jump to victory
19/10/2009 Four trampoline enthusiasts recently bounced their way to medal wins at the Sussex Elite Trampoline Championships.
Jordan Kennedy, Samantha Southern, Emily Roche and Jade Brewster, all of Gatwick Flyers, each performed well at the recent event, reports the West Sussex County Times.
However, 13-year-old Jordan was the star of the show, overcoming an injury to retain her Sussex Championship Individual Elite title for the sixth year running.
Laurel Kennedy, head coach at the K2 in Crawley where the club is based, told the news provider: "It's a massive achievement because having won it five times in a row there was big pressure to retain it."
Another group of trampoline stars who proved victorious recently were the men's and women's teams at Kingston Trampoline Club who both achieved accolades at the recent London Closed Championships, reports the Croydon Guardian.
Individual winners at the event included Matt Dries who came top in the individual category and Sophie Clift who took silver.
