Trampoline team celebrate victory
28/10/2009 A trampoline squad from Basingstoke is celebrating its recent successes.
Basingstoke Gym trampoline squad won a host of medals at the final regional grading event held on the Isle of Wight.
Following a positive season for the club, every member of the group has qualified to compete at a higher level.
Travis Clayton completed a season-defining performance in Grade F with a gold medal and an outstanding score to move up another grade.
In his first ever regional grade G event James Burgess took silver at the event on the Isle of Wight, reports the Basingstoke Gazette.
In the under-13 grade F, Amy Burgess worked hard for her second place, while in the under-11 grade F the club enjoyed huge success with a team gold medal as Taylor Dearling claimed first, Lucy Payne second and Gemma Bryant fifth.
A hugely successful day was wrapped up by Riley Kudirka, who claimed second place in Grade E with his impressive four somersault routine.
One of the team coaches, Gayle Mahoney, told the news provider: "Everyone worked really hard to prepare for today and they should be very proud of their achievements."
The Nantwich-based club Aerodynamic collected five titles at its regional championships, reports the Crewe Chronicle.
