Trampoline vandalised by youths
11/06/2010 A family in Wales have been left "shocked and distraught" after local youths vandalised their garden trampoline.
Paul Sheldon told Wales Online that he had bought the trampoline for his son Luke, who suffers from a condition called global developmental delay which means he has problems learning to walk and talk.
He said that he hoped jumping on the trampoline would help Luke to put weight on his legs and make it easier for him to walk.
However, after returning for a trip out the family noticed that someone had been using the trampoline as the safety net was open. Further inspection revealed that there were cigarette burns on it.
Mr Sheldon told the news provider: "Luke can still use the trampoline, but the fact that it has been used and abused by others has really spoiled it for us and for him."
It is thought that the incident occurred sometime between midnight on May 31st and 18:00 BST on Sunday June 6th.
Trampolines were recently named as the "ultimate" item for a garden gym by the Express, which highlighted their many health benefits.
