Trampolines 'a good way for parents to get fit'
19/04/2010 Playing on a trampoline with their children is a great way for parents to get fit and lose some weight, it has been claimed.
According to a post on the Smart Dads blog, bouncing on a trampoline on a regular basis can help people significantly reduce their body fat while having fun.
"Many women and men have tried fitness programmes on trampolines and have got positive results," it added.
The blog also suggested that if people do not have a lot of garden space, they could invest in a mini trampoline which can be used in the comfort of their own homes.
Last week, online news provider Suite 101 said that if both parents and children plan to use a trampoline, it is best to invest in a 12ft or 14ft trampoline, which has a bit more space for bouncing around.
It also suggested purchasing a safety net and protective cover for trampolines.
