Trampolines 'are a workout must'
13/05/2010 Bouncing on a trampoline is a great way to inject some fun into an exercise regime, it has been claimed.
According to journalist Liz Hoggard, they are the ideal piece of exercise equipment for people who do not like running but want to do some exercise that gives them a proper cardiovascular workout.
Writing in the London Evening Standard, she said that she had used a friend's trampoline and really enjoyed bouncing up and down.
"I felt a rush of pure pleasure. My heart was pounding - in a good way. I was breathing deeply, cheeks flushed. When I finally clambered off, I felt like I'd had a major workout," she added.
Ms Hoggard continued to say that using a trampoline for exercise is great for people with busy lifestyles as they can just pop on it for ten minutes and get the equivalent benefits of a half-an-hour run.
Earlier this week, Terrell Pruitt, a rebounding instructor for Crunch, told Reuters that bouncing on a mini trampoline is a great low-impact workout.
