Trampolines 'can help metabolism'
09/11/2009 A top US fitness gym has been extolling the benefits of using a trampoline.
"Rebounding" as it is known, is essentially exercising on a mini-trampoline, and some experts say that it is the best all-over workout you can get.
According to Nasa, rebounding is 68 per cent more effective than jogging.
Experts from Power Play Fitness in North Dallas have been telling reporters from CBS3 all about how beneficial working out on a trampoline can be.
According to instructor Veronica Hudgell, the trampoline can help your digestion as well as your physique.
She told the news provider that rebounding: "Can jump start your metabolism, detox your body, reduce fat and provide a cardio and strength-building workout."
Ms Hudgell added that rebounding is good for athletes, or those with physical challenges and also senior citizens.
Meanwhile a blogger in the US explained on imarketingbiz.net how, as well as being fun, trampolines have many health benefits.
The blogger said: "Bouncing, while using a trampoline, will help in the strengthening of the lower back and leg muscles and in turn will also help in toning them."
