Trampolines 'entertaining way to get fit'
11/08/2009 A mini trampoline can provide a person with one of the most entertaining methods to get fit and take regular exercise, according to one website.
Chris Channing, writing for CafeDuit.com, claims that such trampolines provide a plethora of opportunities for people to tone their legs, middle trunk and upper body.
He adds that walking in place and hardly even jumping on the trampoline can "work the leg muscles very fast" and a faster workout can be achieved with increased repetitions.
"Put some music on to get your blood flowing. You'll find yourself making new dance moves, both on the trampoline and off, to move your body to the beat. Find a type of music that is upbeat and inspires you to expend your energy," writes Mr Channing.
Mini trampolines are also perfect for small children, giving them a way to burn off all that extra energy, he adds.
A recent poll commissioned by the Department of Children, Schools and Families claimed that regular physical exercise was essential for the growth, development and wellbeing of children.
