Trampolines 'great fun for all ages'
30/09/2009 A new article has outlined how a variety of activities can help youngsters stay healthy.
Following research that shows half of all children will be obese within ten years and new figures that show just 13 per cent of kids get an hour of exercise a day, the Daily Mirror has compiled a list of ideas to get kids moving.
A comprehensive list which includes, boxing, walking the dog, and joining the guides, also claims that using a trampoline can get kids active in an enjoyable way.
The advice reads: "It is great fun, and suits all ages. Book them in for a few lessons, or invest in a mini-trampoline for the garden."
It claims that kids can sometimes prefer to master skills on their own, so trampolines are ideal.
Schoolboy Rhys Paisley told the news provider that he had found a new lease of life since he took up street dancing at the age of 11.
Rhys said: "Since I've been dancing I've felt loads better. Doing exercise helps me to concentrate at school and not be so distracted."
Using a mini trampoline, according to NASA, is "the most efficient and effective form of exercise ever devised."
