Trampolines 'offer inexpensive healthy living'
03/11/2010 Families looking to convert their lifestyle into a healthy one for a small amount of money have been urged to consider buying a trampoline.
Marisa Finetti, writing for Hive Health Media, has explained that getting into shape does not require a personal trainer, and it can even start with some loose change.
Her top tips for families were to switch from soda and soft drinks to water, exercising outdoors, whether by walking, which she adds is also a great way to clear the mind, or anything that requires a little extra energy.
"Hula hoops, jump ropes, trampolines… all these have benefits and provide an excellent form of activity right down to strengthening your core. A little off-beat fun will keep you feeling young and boost your energy," Ms Finetti added.
This follows a recent study, published this week in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, which found that exercising outdoors at least five days a week could reduce children's chances of catching a cold.
