Trampolines 'stop kids getting square eyes'
08/07/2009 Buying a trampoline can help encourage good lifestyle habits within the family, it has been suggested.
According to a blog post on Bazeebas.com, once children have seen how much fun bouncing on a trampoline is they are less likely to spend as much time watching TV, sitting on the internet and playing computer games.
The post added: "Trampolining is a fun activity, while offering a good exercise for the entire family.
"Once you develop the love for the trampoline in the minds of the family, they will get out of the house and break [these] sedentary habits."
Last month, Lisa Rosenblatt, writing for the Modern Mom blog, claimed parents may get as much enjoyment out of a trampoline as their children.
She claimed that playing with her nine-year-old son was fun when she recently spent the afternoon watching him on his trampoline.
Ms Rosenblatt suggested that the garden trampoline was "a good addition" to her family's toy collection.
