Trampolines 'the best way to benefit from outdoor play'
25/01/2011 Parents may be persuaded to buy garden trampolines for their children, after one writer suggested that a bounce on the popular apparatus is one of the best ways for youngsters to feel the benefits of outdoor play.
Writing on his blog, online expert Jonas Schroeder urged families to purchase trampolines for the garden, making exercising outdoors simpler than ever – with a trip to the swimming pool or gym no longer necessary.
According to Mr Schroeder, outdoor play activities, such as garden trampolines, could also help encourage youngsters to spend less time playing video games and more time being active – boosting their overall health and fitness.
"Give your young children and yourself the opportunity for a wholesome future. Acquire a trampoline and start them toward a path of standard exercise. You will each see the benefits," he added.
Last week, the Independent reported how persuading children to put down their games consoles can be an "arduous task" for many parents, but one which can be made easier with outdoor play activities.
