Trampolines are 'great for children with behavioural problems'
18/03/2010 Jumping on a trampoline is a great activity for children with behavioural problems, according to the Independent.
The newspaper reports that purchasing the right kind of toys and outdoor play equipment can provide serious benefits for children.
"It is widely accepted trampolines are fantastic for children with behavioural problems," the article explained.
Toys which encourage kids to move around were described as an "excellent investment" and the newspaper also recommended spending money on play equipment which "stimulates and brings alive the imagination".
Other suggestions for parents to improve children's behaviour included setting clear boundaries, establishing a regular routine and spending quality time with their children.
Writing for the Daily Mirror, Dr Miriam Stoppard, also recently recommended that parents buy a mini trampoline to encourage children to get more exercise and lead a healthy lifestyle.
"From day one, show kids that running around is fun. The more they enjoy exercise, the more active, healthier and slimmer they'll be in the long run," Dr Stoppard explained.
