Trampolines helping people get fit in the New Year
16/12/2009 Anyone who is planning to overindulge over the festive season can make sure they are getting their fix of exercise in the New Year thanks to a new Liverpool-based festival.
Taking place on January 10th at the city's Wavertree Tennis Centre, the Festival of Health and Activity is a free event aimed at encouraging people to embrace new ways of getting fit.
Attendees can bounce around on trampolines, perfect their tennis serve or take part in a Tai Chi demo.
There are also free neck massages on offer, in addition to a range of activities for kids, including golf, arts and crafts, X-bike demos and bracelet making.
"Anyone, adults or a children looking for inspiration, motivation and encouragement to lead a healthier happier and more active lifestyle will find a whole host of engaging ideas and opportunities in this action packed fun day out," according to the organisers.
There will also be opportunities to learn about healthy diets with cookery demonstrations and a smoothie making workshop.
