Trampolining keeps youngsters active this summer
21/07/2009 Young residents of South Essex Homes have been bouncing, somersaulting and twisting in mid-air after completing a trampoline course.
The youngsters, aged between eight and 15, took part in a 12-week course aimed at keeping them active during the summer and helping people make new friends, reports 24Dash.
And it seems that the youngsters enjoyed the new experience, with nine-year-old Penny Standen telling the news provider: "It has been so much fun, I have made new friends and I have really liked all the new routines I have learnt. My favourite move is the swivel hips."
Zoe Edmunds, trampoline coach, added that all of the class's attendees had come on "leaps and bounds" and learned lots of new skills.
Aberdeen City Council, which is hosting its own trampolining classes this summer, recently stated that bouncing on a trampoline is not simply good fun, but can also improve children's co-ordination and balance.
