Why not try a sponsored trampoline jump for Wear Red day?
25/02/2010 Brits might want to wear red when exercising outdoors tomorrow (February 26th) to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
The charity is aiming to collect funds for the thousands of people in the UK affected by heart disease. Participants are being asked to wear red while they take part in their fundraising activities at home and at work.
Suggestions for activities include arranging a friendly football match or a sponsored sporting event, such as running or cycling.
Those that are feeling adventurous could even attempt a sponsored bounce-a-thon on a trampoline.
Three girls from the Keighley area recently managed to raise £550 for the victims of the Haiti earthquake by doing this, while members of the University of Worcester trampoline club managed to raise over £1,000 for new equipment from a 24-hour trampoline event.
Jumping on a trampoline is known to be a good form of aerobic exercise, making it a heart-healthy way to contribute.
