Young trampoline stars join team GB
06/10/2009 Two young trampoline stars from Birmingham have been selected to represent Great Britain at the world championships in November.
Phoebe Williams, 13, from Bournville, and Lydia Yates, 14, from Redditch were chosen after dazzling performances at the qualifying event in Portugal, reports the Birmingham Mail.
The pair, who train at the City of Birmingham Trampoline Club, will be joining the rest of the squad in St Petersburg on November 11th.
"I'm really excited it's like a dream come true for me. I'm hoping to put on a good performance," Phoebe told the news provider.
"I'm just going to give it my all and hopefully I can bring a medal back."
It was recently reported by the Chronicle that Daniel Fawcett of South Shields has been included in the Great Britain trampoline squad ahead of the World Age Group Championships in St Petersburg.
He will compete in the under-19 category.
